UnidosNow Continues to Expand

When UnidosNow was founded in 2010, the leadership team created a compelling vision for change to support Latino integration into the fabric of our community, understanding fully that this would be a multi-generational process. They recognized that integration had multiple interdependent dimensions, but that education attainment was the foundation to success.

Over the past few years, UnidosNow has successfully launched its Future Leaders Academy for low-income Latino students, and has conducted numerous workshops for students and parents to improve college and career readiness. None of this could have been accomplished without the support of our many volunteers, partners and donors, to whom we owe a tremendous debt of gratitude. Because of you, our little two-person organization, has been able to make a meaningful difference in the community.

While we are proud of our accomplishments in education, and realize that there is still much to be done, UnidosNow has never lost sight of its vision to support the broader integration requirements of the Latino community. We are now in a position to expand our organization, and we are excited to welcome the newest member of our team, Jessica Perez-Maqueda.

Jessica will be responsible for delivering much needed services to Latinos qualifying for DAPA/DACA programs, while also strengthening our referral network to support the wide-ranging needs of the Latino population. She comes to UnidosNow with a demonstrated passion for our cause, and the experience and skills required to be successful in her new role.

We look forward to your continued support as UnidosNow enters into the next leg of its journey.
