Jackie Perez, College Coach

Jacqueline (she/her/hers) was born and raised in Manatee County, Florida. She graduated from Palmetto High School in 2017 and went on to study at Duke University in North Carolina as a National QuestBridge Scholar.

Currently, Jackie is set to graduate in May 2021 with her B.A. in Global Health and International Comparative Studies.

Her career interests lie within public health. Jackie has experience working with health non-profits based in India and Haiti to strategize health communication and education practices. She hopes to pursue an advanced degree in public health after graduating from Duke.

Jackie has also been an active leader of the first-generation/low-income student community at Duke University. Her dedication to education access and outreach led her to join the UnidosNow team in 2019 – first, as a Summer Associate and now, as a College Coach. Jackie enjoys mentoring other first-generation/low-income students and is eager to come back home and serve her community.
