Juan Arcila, College Coach
Originally from Colombia, Juan holds a BA in public health and served as a board member before joining the UnidosNow team in 2018 as Manager of Education Initiatives.
He subsequently served as Director of Education Initiatives and now spearheads the organization’s new Beyond College Now initiative, a college planning service that supports the mission of UnidosNow.
Juan, a former admissions counselor at USF Sarasota-Manatee, is a first-generation Latino in the United States who, like the students he works with, comes from a low-income family and is the first in his family to go to college in the U.S.
Juan believes there is power in education and that every student deserves to realize their personal potential.
