College Completion

Latinx students have graduated from high school and enrolled in college in record numbers over the past decade, but they continue to lag the general population in completing their college education. With the increasing number of Latinx students graduating from our Future Leaders Academy, UnidosNow launched a college completion program during the 2018-2019 academic year.

Our College Completion model includes mentorship, assistance with life skills and career exploration, assistance with financial aid and internship/job searches, and the development of an alumni network. Of particular note during the COVID-19 pandemic has been the mentoring and tutoring support our alumni have provided to younger students.

Above all, College Completion provides UnidosNow alumni with the support they need to successfully overcome the challenges that as first-generation, low-income students they experience in college so that they can complete their college education and graduate within a reasonable amount of time, with minimal debt.
